FoxFire Project
The Foxfire Project, begun by Eliot Wigginton and his students in the 1960s, was designed to save from oblivion the local color of a particular Southern region: the dialect, customs, recipes, antiques, manners, clothes, games and rituals of a particular area.
As a class, the students enrolled in Ms. Rojo's AP English Language and Composition class have compiled their own stories for their own version of a “Foxfire E-Magazine” renamed "Leafing".

The Loud's
Ah well Mia family! Ugh well it's huge! My mothers side my grandma she's Mexican and my grandpa is full Puerto Rican. We are very loud!
Back in the day when we were little every Sunday we would all get together at my grandmas house to eat and catch up about what happened during the week. This would happen everything Sunday it would be wake up, church, eat. Food that's all food. My grandma makes THE BEST food! She makes everything it's all so good.
At last my dad's side. My grandma is also Mexican with a part of Indian and my grandpa was born in Mexico. They were sweet people the sweetest! I never really knew my grandpa that well but my grandma was so cute! When I would spend the night with her she would wake up and make me breakfast little bowls of oatmeal with eggs and bacon! My grandparents are great! My aunts and uncles are beyond crazy! My Nina (godmother) lives in California and works at a shoe store and has a beautiful house in a hill with a pool! My other aunt works at Tommy Bahama a very rich company she meets rich people all the time. For example Robin Williams? That's just on my moms side.
My dad's side there is a lot of teachers and principles also a lot of border patrol agents. One of my aunts is the best baker EVER! Anything she makes is delicious! My older brother is also a chef he makes everything so perfect!
Ah my mother where do I start? She is my Bestfriend. She knows everything about me! I love her too death.

My family hates each other so we never do anything together, but big family parties seems really cool and I'm extremely jelly
ReplyDeleteThe beginning of the dory is good, you are very descriptive when you talk about your family and that is very good. I can only say that on the last paragraph you could've elaborated more on your best friend.
