Moving to strange places

​Moving plays a big role when as a military child and in my life it’s a daily factor. My pa serves in our nation’s army as he does so he PCS to one duty station to another. Where my pa goes my family and I follow right alongside with him. Throughout my life I have moved a total of seven times and it will probably continue to the time I retire from the military. Each and every move in my life has both pros and cons to it and each play a vital role in my life. Moving introduces me to new customs, beliefs, and cultures that most Americans would never get to see.

​Ever since I can remember as a little boy my family and I have moved from location to location. Moving in my opinion goes under the mixed feeling category as moving both takes and offers new ideals to me. My parents always try to get me to look at positive situations when moving, they even told me that’s how their marriage formed, but it’s rather difficult sometimes as I have to leave friends behind. On the other side moving does introduce me to a whole another world ready to be explored. From just moving alone I learn so much about the surrounding world and people around me.

​Moving has showed new people, new cultures, and new beliefs that I really never understood in my life. I never knew that moving would allow me to explore that vast regions of the world. I would also to be influenced by the vast cultures all across the U.S and I would make new friends each duty station I would inhabit for a small period of time. I would also get to experience many man made or physical features that I personally believed I would ever see. I have a sudden realization that ever move has culturally affected me and allows me to understand most folks that the society view as superior or inferior. Moving continues to introduce me to new aspect every single time. 

​Moving introduces me to new customs, beliefs, and cultures that most Americans would never get to see. Each and every single move has personally change me from my appearance, my attitude, and my view on the rest of the human race. I always assumed moving acquired leaving everything behind but moving has proven itself to me as a new adventure ready to be conquered or a new chapter in my life.
